I was paid a good wage, but I was miserable. I was getting headaches and feeling run down and depressed. I knew that something had to change because I was hoping time would go faster as I counted down the years until I would be able to retire. One day I realized I was wishing my life away by wanting to time to move faster. Life is too short to spend it in a dead end job that only brought misery with the pay check. Even though I knew nothing what so ever about owning a business I decided that having a home based business would be the best way out for me.
I am amazed at the things that I have learned since I made the decision to have my own business. Last year I had never even surfed the Internet, I did not even have a personal email address. Today I have three email accounts, three of my own websites and I am making more money part time than I had been making full time. Best of all I am doing this from the comfort of my home. One of the first things I needed to do once I decided which home based company I was going to go into partnership with, was to name my company and to develop a website. I found that there are many sites that will help you walk through this process. I wanted a unique named website. I learned how to do a domain name search to insure that my website would not be confused with anyone else’s. A domain is the name of your website. To find out if anyone else is using a name you need to do a domain name search. When I first started out this concept was very foreign to me. Now, I’ve learned about mailing lists and customer service, online ads, FTP, graphics…and many more things. It’s been tough, but worth it.
Keep working, Stick with It
A home business may be the way out of a bad job. No one is going to say it is easy. No one is going to pave the way in gold. But, if you are willing to work harder for yourself than for anyone else, the rewards can be greater than anything you could imagine.
