Promotional products are a commonly used tool by companies and individuals to get the attention of their niche or target market.
The companies hand out products to their established and potential customers to boost their sales. Their name and business contact information are printed on the products somewhere. The items are usually things that would be used often allowing the customer to see the name of the company often.calendars
pens
coffee mugs
t-shirts
caps
mouse pads
Companies get these items from dealerships or printing companies or maybe they’ll get their items from you.
You can offer personal service by being the middleman who organizes the whole process for them. They will explain what they want and and how much they are willing to pay for it. You do the rest.
There are a couple of options:
1) Sign up with a distributorship. You would have to pay a membership fee, but you’re provided with training, and all the resources needed to the best suppliers of these promotional materials.
2) Find sources where you can order at wholesale and mark-up the cost when reselling to your clients. This would allow you a broader range of options without any membership fees.
3) Create the promotional items yourselve. Maybe you are a whiz with a graphics program. You could print post-cards, flyers, sticker, or bumperstickers.
4) Set up an account with Cafepress and once you create your designs they can be printed on a variety of items.
